LOL...ole "Lyin Ted" sure threw a curve ball yesterday evening. Some MLB team needs to sign him immediately.  I can't stand to look at the guy but you have got to give him props to stand there, with his dad in the audience, knowing that he had no intention of endorsing a con man. If he was someone else, I'd say he stood on principal and refused to compromise his scruples or values. Anyway, he was clever in that for the most part he espoused the party line (such as it is) and told others to vote their principals and vote the party line up & down the ticket, never mentioning Trump by name of course. I'm not so sure he deserved a chorus of boos from the delegates?  Consider the abuse he took from Trump not so long ago.  From what I understand, there were other speakers who submitted their speech in advance only to omit the last endorsement line to Trump. Guess they did not want to gag on those words and have history forever show they supported a possible sociopath for President of theses United States.

Trump even accused the father of Ted Cruz of being involved in the JFK assassination.  Cruz deliberately went to that Convention knowing that what he did would be his vendetta toward Trump.

Yes, and in the breakfast meeting with the Texas delegates this morning he gave that as his reason for going back on his pledge to support the GOP nominee. He's getting payback for the insults to his dad and wife.

Cruz was making a statement, and expressing his opinion as an individual, as did other Republicans who boycotted the convention entirely.

Contrast that to the Democrats:  none of them would DARE do anything like that.  Herd/collectivist/scripted/Party-Line mentality all the way, no matter how big the lies or the crookedness.

Even Bernie Sanders was made to understood that, one way or another;  he was sweating profusely when he gave his reluctant endorsement of The Venal Lady.  :D
