Lol - it lasts till October 3.

I was never at the Oktoberfest in Munich (I only stopped once there during the event, because I had to switch trains and had about an hour or so to spend in a nice beer pub near the railway station with a good beer, of course), before continuing to Berlin. But we have our beer events too, in many places of our country - and our grilled sausage parties. This is one of my former "exercises" - around sausages and beer, and in German:
Es geht um die Wurst
Viel zu banal ist uns're Wurst,
da denkt man meistens an den Durst;
dabei leert man gern ein Mass Bier,
ob Korporal oder Barbier,
doch braucht's dazu auch festen Stoff
sonst gäb' es ständig Riesenzoff.
Gegrillt, geröstet und gebraten,
auch gekocht wird sie geraten;
Kartoffeln sind unerlässlich –
gezuckert wären sie zu grässlich –
als Salat zu Wienerwürsten:
man wird kaum nach Rotwein dürsten.
Zur Bratwurst müssen Rösti her,
Zwiebeln und Sauce geh’n einher;
alles, was der Gaumen begehrt,
wird in der Regel gern verzehrt
und für einen guten Transit,
klingen die Gläser zum Prosit!

Today is really foggy, but a bit warmer (yesterday, it was heavily clouded, with a chilly 13 °C in the afternoon and Monday was rainy)
I was just listening to "Le galérien":
Les Compagnons de la chanson -
"Le galérien" was an old Russian song, translated by Maurice Druon (you might have read "The Accursed Kings"):

As for the translation, I think that I'll have to "DIY" (err - myself).
