My house is full of antiques, I've been collecting for about 30 years now, my favorite collectibles are porcelain Ansonia clocks.

The family used to have several. Since my parents passed away, I have no idea what happened to any of it.

I gave my brother a cherished coin that was retrieved from the SS Republic that sank in New Orleans back in 1865.

I actually lived in one. My wife and I restored and lived in a German built farm house that was built in 1701. It was full of antiques from pre-civil war and civil war eras. Under the floorboards of the attic, we found many letters and sales receipts dating back to the 1700's. Stuffed in the eaves of the attic we found a couple of civil war uniforms and quite a few women's dresses and a very small leather box filled with gold dust. The house was in the middle of a state park and only about 25 miles from Valley Forge.

It was a great place to raise 4 kids and all of the animals.

Oh wow
What fun that would have been.

We had 7 fireplaces, two in the livingroom, one in each bedroom and a huge walk-in in the dinning room. It was a cool place to live in but the maintenance was unbelievable.

We don´t have anything from the civil war what I know of but we have other antiques in our family.
