people complain about America being the prison capitol of the world because we rarely execute anyone. can't have it both ways. the only reason many of these other countries don't have prison huge populations is because they execute criminals. so what should it be? lock them in cages, execute them, or let them run free in society?
Ask the doctor in Connecticut who suffered a home invasion, was subsequently shot (he escaped to get help), his wife raped and strangled and his daughters raped upstairs before all three of them were killed and set on fire.
I'm more in favor of firing squads actually for those like this who commit premeditated murder. Why house and feed them for the rest of their lives?
I Believe some deserve to be put to Death for their Heinous acts , Serial Killers like Ted Bundy who epitomizes Evil.
We don't have Death Row , nor have we Executed any Criminals since 1964.
Suppose one can just be thankful , when Mass Murderers like Fred West actually take their own Lives in Prison because at least the Loved ones of all his Victims have Peace of Mind that he's most likely in Hell.
It's not my place to go into other countries and cultures and tell them to get rid of the death penalty, but I personally don't agree with it and I'm glad whenever a society gets rid of it.

Our prisons are overcrowded because of drug convictions. Legalize drugs and you will have plenty of room.
