Macbeth, definitely.  The three witches had 20th and 21st century progressives pegged to a T, hundreds of years before the fact.

1. WITCH:  Round about the cauldron go,

                  In the proggy doctrines throw

                 For a charm that murders millions,

                 Dance to Communist cotillions.

2. WITCH:  Be it Stalin, Che or Mao,

                  Apotheosize each one, right now!

                  Don't forget the great Pol Pot,

                  Or Dear Leader Kim (he's hot!).

3. WITCH:  Others, of more recent stripe,

                 Sell their lies and pois'nous tripe:

                 Bernie, 'Bama, Kerry, Hilly,

                 Dead of brain and PC-silly.

ALL:   Double, double toil and trouble,

          Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
