We have coyotes where I live that howl. 

I've heard wolves at night camping up in Minnesota.

I've heard howling, but they probably weren't wolves, as I don't think we (officially) have wolves in my area, but we have foxes (which I've personally seen howl) and coyotes (which my neighbors have claimed to have seen a number of times).
