Yeah I have not yet either, and it's been something I would like to try. I was going to one year, but a certain family member found out and ruined it, they got scared and didn't want me near cold water because of the possible problems that could happen.
With a wetsuit...When I was fifteen...My first S.C.U.B.A. qualification dive was an open water ocean dive in the middle of a Februrary snow storm...There was a foot of snow when we got back to shore.
The first minute it is like an ice plunge because when wearing a wetsuit the icy water gets inside the suit and your body heats the ice water...once the water is heated the rest if the time in the water is comfortable...unless you have a tiny pinhole in your boot...then every kick of the fin acts like a pump supplying a constant stream of ice water around your foot.
Yes, unintentionally on a bet, when I was a child! My cousin bet me that I couldn't go out and touch a snow pile on the lake and make it back before my other cousin.....of course I fell through the ice, someone called my mom, I was able to get out but I got my butt busted all the way back to the house!

I guess it is an ice plunge but I was thinking ofr the polor plunge when you go on with summer wear on and get in the water in winter :P
probably still counts because you were in the water to long.
I just couldn't!
