There is the country Georgia in between the Russia and Armenia. Russia already stopped supporting Armenia because Azerbaijan is an ally of Turkey and Turkey has the control of the black sea. And Azerbaijan supply oil to the west and Turkey is in the Nato block as well, so Armenia is left out on its own.
