Google is working on a project which uses your smartphone as your password. When you enter a username or Email into the login, a security check happen on your smartphone and you get access to your account. You don't have to enter your password.

I've only been using one the past couple of years. Handy little buggers with a lot more uses than transforming me into an aging yuppie. :-/

Great idea.

It won't make much difference as far as Google is concerned -- my laptop keeps me logged in anyway -- but I can see enormous advances in security if banks start doing the same thing.
