The world has just lost one helluva of versatile actor. Alan Rickman died today. Whether he was in Die Hard, or Harry Potter, and everything in between, he was a force to be reckoned with.

He was a Shakespearean trained actor who didn't even want to be in Harry Potter. But I am sure glad he changed his mind, there would be no Professor Snape without him.

My wife and I were discussing him. I can't think of any role he was in that I didn't like him in, even if I didn't like the character.

The only thing I ever thought he was miscast in, was playing Ronald Regan in 'The Butler'.
