When was the latest time you skated?

I skated yesterday on our lake which is right outside our garden on the other side of the road. I skated almost to the middle of the lake and was thinking about skating to the other side of the lake but didn´t really dare. A few times before I have even seen cars driving on our lake and yesterday there was someone who drove with their motorcycle so the lake seemed very safe and frozen.

I used to love to skate.  Probably the last time was out on a nearby pond or over the the University ice rink

I've never ice skated and I didn't learn to roller skate when I was a kid, either.  I tried it when I was an adult, but that was just an emergency room visit waiting to happen, so I stopped.  I have enough trouble staying upright even when I don't have wheels or knife blades strapped to my feet.
