I thought the book "The Martian" did that as well.

I didn't see The Revenant.  It seemed that the trailer told the whole story.

When I saw "The Revenant," I felt so cold.  I am so grateful that I don't have to experience the cold wilderness as the frontiersmen did in that movie.  I cringed how they had to wade through the freezing water.  Yes, we do have life easy today.
