I call my Cat Princess.........Principessa and it comes out in a high singing pitch ,

which is unusual for me because my voice is husky.

Actually, it depends on the animal species: cats and dogs, for example, or many birds, prefer usually a higher pitched, tender voice, while horses, and other, larger animals, elephants, etc. will often prefer a deeper, soothing voice. And some seem to like romantic songs or music.

Nah, I pretty much talk normally unless she does something wrong. Then, I talk to her in my best growling ogre voice.
