Now there's a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect to see that here. Dad could speak a few words of Welsh. The family emigrated to Australia when he was only 4 years old (and, believe it or not, that was in 1888) so he didn't really learn the language.

Well, to tell the truth, those are the only Welsh words I know.   I love Celtic cultures of all kinds, but cannot speak any Celtic language.   I'm a Celt of south German ancestry.
Those are the ones that took to the Bavarian hills and mountains when the Huns moved in.  :-)
