Here's my idea for a perfect Autumn and Winter season:
October would start out noticeably chillier than September with low temperatures in the low to mid 40s and highs ranging from the upper 60s to the low 70s. By the end of the month, cold and crisp temperatures would take hold with lows dropping into the upper 20s to the low 30s while highs would be in the mid to upper 50s.
November would be nearly the same as late October to start the month. But, by the middle of the month, the first snow flurries would begin to fall with high temperatures mainly in the upper 30s to low 40s. By the end of the month, the first accumulating snow would occur and high temperatures would start staying below freezing with lows dropping into the teens and low 20s.
December would be cold and rather snowy. High temperatures would remain below freezing throughout the month and low temperatures would start dropping into the single digits to near zero, especially by the end of the month. A White Christmas would have a snowstorm that would begin on Christmas Eve and last through Christmas Day.
January would be very cold and continued snowy. High temperatures would be mostly in the teens and 20s while low temperatures would frequently drop below zero.
February would be a repeat of January and remain very cold and snowy.
March would begin to moderate just a bit, but it would still remain cold and snowy right through the end of the month. Highs would be in the 20s and 30s while lows would be mostly in the teens to low 20s.
April would start out cold and snowy before moderating. By the middle of the month, snow melting would occur, ending the Autumn and Winter season. Highs would range from the mid 30s to start the month to the low 50s to end the month while lows would range from the 20s to start the month to the upper 30s by the end of the month.
That's my idea of a perfect Autumn and Winter season. What's your idea of a perfect Autumn and Winter season? No poll, just whatever you think.
