Does the sound of a calliope playing make you happy?

It is instant happiness for me whenever I hear the sound of a calliope playing.

Not particularly. And after a while, it can become annoying. It actually makes me think of a two-word insult a good friend of mine would apply to the most daft individuals he came across.

Depends on what the calliope is attached to.  My dad and I used to go to Upstate New York and we used to hear (and see) a steamboat playing songs on the calliope.

Here's a small sample of this steamboat playing a song on the calliope.  This makes me both happy and sad.  Happy because it's such a nice piece of music.  Sad because we don't go there anymore, hence I said we "used to go" there.
