Yes. 

Times tables for instance. Good thing!

  Looking at some of my cousins Common Core math sheets it is clear this new system is based on pure retardation.   They aren't even taught how to do proper math problems. 

The way they want it done teaches nothing except how not to solve a math problem in an efficient and logical manner.   Not to mention  they can put down the wrong answer and still get it right somehow.

We ne3ed to go back to actual teaching instead of this fantasy common core BS.

Yes, of course.  You don't get good at anything unless you practice enough to know it by heart.  This applies to sports, music and yes, school subjects.

Yep.  Think of it as 'muscle memory' for the brain.  People who first take various forms of the martial arts are quick to complain that the training is so repetitive and boring, and then, when they start entering competitions, they quickly understand why all that 'repetitive' stuff was critical.  :-)
