There are various interesting animals in our world - from the weirdest to the most beautiful, from the most elegant to the cutest, from the wildest to the sweetest - some are rarely seen, others are living with us, like dogs, cats, hamsters, budgies, etc., or rabbits, birds, horses, cows, llamas, goats, sheep, etc. Who doesn't love to see them move, rest, work or play - even if it is in a documentation or a movie?

I cannot say which is the most interesting animal, as all are fascinating ...

My first thought was snakes... as they're interesting but not always in a good way.

But I think a better and more correct answer might be humans. They're pretty dang interesting, though again, not always in a good way... but a lot of times it is a good way.

I've seen two of the most elusive Australian animals in the wild -- an echidna (twice) and a platypus. The platypus is so shy that, although they live in my area, I never saw one until Christmas morning when Mrs Didge and I went for a walk along our local river, just as dawn was breaking. It was a lovely surprise to start the day.
And here's a picture of an echidna.
