I didn't quite know what to think of it until I asked two close British friends about it. One ready to leave the other not. I received one answer that was pro and waiting for the other. His view:
We get to make our own laws, rather than being subservient to an unelected group in Brussels. We get to save around $235 million a week by not paying that money to Brussels. We get to better control immigration (currently running at about 180,000 a year from Europe alone). We avoid the economic problems inherent in the EU. We can reopen trade deals with places like Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada (we were forced to reduce trade with the "old Empire"/British Commonwealth when we joined the EU. For all that, I suspect that the next year or two might be a bit rocky.
If it taught the arrogant, unelected bureaucrats of the EU a lesson, it will have done some good. But those types rarely learn anything until the roof falls in.

European countries will have more freedom without EU.
