What would you do if you were in the scenario from the Star Trek episode Children of Time? (description in the post)

Scenario: You are on a spaceship exploring deep space in the space future. You crash land on a mysterious planet with human inhabitants. They tell you that you and the rest of the crew you're part of are the descendants of their entire village after being sent back several hundred years in the planet's past. You can leave, but if you do you will erase everyone on the planet from existence, but if you stay, you will never see your loved ones again (Assume that if you left you would. Spaceships travel very fast in the space future.) What do you do?rs in the planet's past. If there is good looking women and no wars ? I would stay on that planet.

Yes, but when you crash land on the planet, you and the crew have been sent back into the planet's past, to become the ancestors of the people who would otherwise disappear.

So when you are sent to the past, you and the rest of the crew are the only people on the planet.  You'll have to make do with them.  But not to worry... those Star Trek crews had some VERY nice looking women. And you're right, there wouldn't be any wars unless of course some Klingons or Romulans happened by.

It doesn't make sense, if you are decendents of them, then leaving them will not erase their existence.
