Lol - I just can't help laughing; the scandal around Perret's song was only the daring vocabulary - it was never vulgar or insulting, but basing on metaphors, and it was referring to the decision of the French authorities to introduce sexual education in schools.
LOL, maybe Perret should write a satirical song advocating the abolition of sex education, because the birthrate of the ethnic French population has dropped PRECIPITOUSLY, to well below replacement levels, since the inception of sex ed in the schools.
I don't think that we are more pacifist than our neighbours, if considering our own latent inner conflicts among parties, rural and urban regions and linguistic differences, for instance the "Rösti Ditch" or the "Polenta Ditch". But our folks have been taught to be polite and respectful. Yet, mentalities can change ...
