Low in the southwestern sky, shortly after sunset, the (relatively new) moon and Venus, to the left, were quite close together. Furthermore, the outline of the dark part of the moon could be seen in the crescent of the new moon (caused by earthlight). Unusual and spectacular!  :)

'Late, late yestre'en I saw the new moon
Wi'the old moon in his arm,
And I fear, I fear, my dear master,
That we will come to harm.'

We sure did ! It was great ! One thing I love about living out in the hills is that you can see all the stars and constellations . That is when it's clear and not getting ready to snow !

Saw Venus. No moon. (It was pretty late ,so the moon had probably already set.)

I think tonight, the moon will be between Venus and Mars, and tomorrow evening, near Mars.

That's what I read also. By the fifth it will be near Mars. Uh Oh !

No, I missed it, and it was more or less foggy.

But tonight, I could see the moon - alone. But it is gone.

The moon will be near Mars tonight.  Selene had better be careful!  :O:angel::)
