I don't think we ever had it in Oz. Looks as though it would have been good. Entertaining and instructive, both at the same time.

Happy Little Trees!

Back when we had a TV Bob's show was on cable a lot and it was fun to watch.  I even thought about doing one of the painting courses.

I don't think that this series is shown in Europe, but I heard about Bob Ross and his show.

I remember the show when it first came on way-back-when. His voice was very soothing and his painting technique was simple and easy to learn. It took me some practice to master the brush strokes. My problem was framing or creating a scene and not overdoing it. I am glad to see it back in re-runs. I know a few folks who went on to sell some of their work after they mastered his technique. If you are interested in oil painting this is the show you want to have on a disc so you can go back and review when you want. Now his son came out with a book, a behind the scenes type of book. The story about Bob Ross' hair was great.

I was always too mesmerized by that weird fro he sported to even pay attention to the happy Trees he was painting, And don't even get me started on his creepy pervy voice.
