Reporting fake news is worse, but much of the MSM does both, and it often also inserts editorial opinion in what should be factual news reports.

Such practices are more suited to propaganda sheets like Pravda or Voelkischer Beobachter rather than to a supposedly responsible free press.

Case in point: a survey released in the last couple of days reports that a majority of the population in Europe favors a ban on further Muslim immigration. To its credit, NBC News reported on this in an unbiased way.

I looked for an article regarding this poll in the NY Times, but until now, I have not seen one. Apparently the 'Paper of Record' does not regard it as part of 'All the News that's Fit to Print.'  :ermm:

The best solution is to ignor them. I do not report the fake news.

I do my best to ignore it, but not always possible.

Fake news, biased comments, propaganda, rumours, hoaxes, legends and pranks exist since long - and anybody can be fooled, in spite of investigating into various sources.

And who didn't exaggerate, belittle or embellish events, experiences and performances?

Reporting fake news is 110% worse, by far. False information is always worse than ignoring what you disagree with.
