It sounds like it might be fun, especially if you like history and like meeting new people.
I've never been a tourist guide, but as a tourist, most of the guides I have encountered were cheerful and seemed to enjoy their work.
I think that would be a good job! Fun and interesting and get to meet new people all the time.
