Does anyone know who owns Amirite now, and why are they trying to do their own site in?
I mean people are banned (not warned or suspended), for the damnest reasons while the owner and moderators lurk in the shadows.
There are only a few SH people left. 
Doesn't Anthony still own it? I hadn't heard of a change in ownership. Yeah, he has cracked down on some of the habitual TOS violators. You can see the reasons if you search the banned people's user names.
And you'll be pleased to hear that I am one of the few SH people still on Amirite.

To be honest? I barely remember anything about Amirite. When I was finally able to surf again, I looked at it when someone asked me to come back and it looked like a kiddie site, so I deactivated my account. I go on SW here and there but that place is toxic.

Amirite is a good place to forget. A couple of the worst former offenders have been kicked off, but they've been replaced by what appear to be a lot of users with multiple phony profiles, posting silly questions.
Amirite was so different when we first joined, really an exceptional site. I am so glad you are doing well, Rooster.

Well, one needs to distinguish between those who were banned outright for TOS violations, and the many who voluntarily left because it just wasn't interesting anymore.
I honestly think the two go hand in hand.
Yes, I agree. A few of the banned people were among the more interesting posters. (Not including, btw, the banned one that used to use a porn star pic as an avatar

I'm not sure why, but there is a lot of garbage to wade through these days. I'm still there, but don't visit nearly as often as I used to.
I agree, Jan. It was really an interesting site when we all first joined but now it like a little kiddie site. If it weren't for a couple of people who are still there I would be gone.

The owners are Anthony, Oliver, and one other person.
I never knew of Oliver before.
He was the former owner, when we all first joined.
I thought it was someone named James, or are you talking about before that?
James was a super moderator and somebody who ran the advertisement end of the site. Oliver was the one who bought Amirite years ago from Anthony. James worked for Oliver.
I was never aware of all these dealings before.
Now what is happening to the format on this site!? LOL!

Hi my friend! Yes, Anthony managed to murder his own site. First he screwed around with the format, turning it into a dated 'MySpace' crap site, and then the banning began..... It now resembles a kiddie site. .
I looked in the other day because amirite got mentioned on SW.Could see nothing that would make me want to log in.Utterly puerile.
