Do you have long online relations with some people from this website?

Most of my so called online friends are not last long. They were lost when I abandoned some websites. Even a girl ftom Benin have not sent me messages since December 25th. My contacts with some users last 3 years.

Actually, I do. Almost all the people on this site, I've known and spoken with for years.

I have some private contacts that I've talked to and actually met for many years.

People come and people go all the time on the internet. I wouldn't let it bother you any.

As far as real relationships online? I don't much believe in that. Friends is as far as I will go.

Every contact I had on Internet have never become real contacts. Maybe, I will met someone. I made some good contacts through penpal.phk.at. The scammers claim they are interested in me, but they want only my money.

Hard to meet some people online. I've been burned twice now as I've been friendly and slightly romantic, only to see it gone. Too many phonies out there.

Yes Kninjanin, I do...including maybe three years on this site. I found SOLVED when Rooster suggested it, after I left Blurt. SOLVED is a good site, I like the people here and I appreciate them. I also write on Quora, as you know because you were the one who helped me find my way back here after my computer crashed!

Once on the old ASK site, someone asked the question whether online friendships are really friendships. The consensus was yes they are, and I agree...I learn a great deal from this site and others, as well as the nourishing human connections. It is easy to lose contact with Internet friends though, as Rooster has already mentioned.

I actually prefer this site to Quora because the moderation is not well done on Quora. I go there still, though, mostly because so many friends from other sites are there! ...and of course, Rooster did the best job of moderation I have ever seen. 

Done well, moderation is an art and you almost have to be a genius!

There are a few I have known and enjoyed interacting with for many years .... back to the Sodahead days and then other sites along the way.

Yes, I have had some online friends for years. But many have disappeared too.

I have a few here and there but my computer time is limited, so I don't come on much to really get to know someone. I think the people on this site, I consider as friends.
