Generally speaking, they are people who are not sexually monogamous.

It is good if polygamy is forbidden in a state.
Actually, I was thinking of "monogamous" in more than the strictly legal term of having only one spouse. I was thinking of people, married or not, that have sex with several or many partners during the same period of time, especially, for example, at parties where there may be wife swapping, girlfriend swapping, etc.
