It has been a lovely, balmy day in May. Always reminds me of the closing lines of an old science fiction novel I once read.

“Never, beautiful Earth, never even at the height of human storms have I forgotten you, my planet Earth, your forests and your fields, your oceans, the serenity of your mountains; the meadows, the continuing rivers, and the incorruptible promise of returning spring.”

Yes Tink, our April here on the Pacific raincoast was a lovely but unseasonable string of sunny days...

Today there was some rain, ending up sunny though, and I am watching the pretty maple sapling overflowing onto the balcony outside my apartment, as it unfurls its Darling Buds of May!

And I compare thee to a summer's day. :)

Tink i have been watching the pandemic closely, to learn as much as I can, and help keep our senior apartments as safe as possible...then occasionally I cannot help but come up for air, when a violet-green swallow goes by, the mating season in full glory. And today, when the sun came out, the glory of the flowering trees around our property pulls one's attention, breath-taking also.

With or without a pandemic, the cycles of Earth proceed. But I have been watching Governor Cuomo as he threads his way through this and so glad I am not in his shoes, or our Governor Inslee either -- to be forced to address such decisions as our officials must.

Still some snow around here yet and a cold biting wind but it was at least sunny!

Well, better than snowy, dark and cloudy. :)

I did.  We spent a lot of time walking our dog and enjoying some of the neighborhood sweet peas in bloom ... best aroma ever. :)  I also spent some time sitting out on the balcony getting some breeze and sunshine.
