Oh yeah! They had plans for many devastating weapons. We would have had a hell of a time defeating them.

Yes, but in the long run, Germany did not have the manpower or the industrial resources to win a sustained war against so many opponents... they had to win early, say within the first two years, or not at all.

I once read of an (apocryphal?) comment by a German general in 1943, on the impossibility of Germany winning the war at that point: "So viele Heinis gibt's einfach nicht." There simply aren't that many Heinies.

Astonishing...I had no idea, Tink!

They had a lot of remarkable ideas on the drawing boards.

It is good that their nuclear program never really got off the ground. The idea of London being hit with an atomic bomb was one of Churchill's nightmares.

Tink you and I have talked about this before -- but there really was something wonderful going on in Germany in those centuries; music, science, philosophy, literature, medicine...truly an epicenter, even the innovation for war.  So much of American space program and science after WWII, expatriate talent from Germany!

Weighed 188 tons!  :O

They mention in the clip that transport to the front would have been a big problem.
