I saw some abandoned stations in Serbia.

I"m not sure why, but I'm fascinated by "the abandoned."  Not sure if it's some sort of past souls who once utilized the station, estate or anything else, but....it's fascinating in sitting back and wondering who they were.  I suppose I channel The Beatles, "All The Lonely People" to each discovery really.  Ghostly quality?

I’m fascinated because there some where my grandparents lived....it all seemed so sad.

My town once had five stations all evidence of which is now gone.

Our current station opened in 1986.

Interesting that in these examples, the tracks were mostly pulled up, but the buildings were mostly left standing.

Yeah...many an old station is now lived in,been converted into a cafe or even hotel

Some got reopened as stations on preservered lines.

And some lie buried in the undergrowth.
