In the third clip, what is the drum that looks like a big round pot called?

The woman is playing a western viola, the man behind the singer is playing a tanpura, and the man on the right is playing a tabla.

I had a friend from India, who once said if you called someone a tabla player, that meant he was stupid. She was from the north, Rajasthan. Is that meaning used in the south too? :D

It's called Ghatam

The other one is Mridangam, I guess, and not Tabla. Tabla is used in North Indian Hindustani music, I guess.

Yes, thank you, Dan. I was wrong about the tabla; tabla is really two drums, played on top, rather than on the sides.

Dan that is a remarkable collection of music, from all over the world! I would never have thought there was a concert in Netherlands where 2,000 drummers gathered! Drums reach deep into our collective psyche...that beautifully choreographed concert of traditionalJapanese drumming just entrancing!

Um, any word on how that pregnant Welsh mare is doing this Christmas holiday season? After the 2,000 years of searching, did she have any success this year in finding a place to give birth?
