They stopped rioting and burning in the US because there is a Democrat in office as president.
Rioting and burning wouldn't look good, especially before the mid-term elections in November, so the word went out for BLM to keep quiet.
Still plenty of smash-and-grab looting, however, in cities where the district attorneys don't prosecute.
