Why is there a double track on one side?

For trains or cars of different gauges?

No, I meant the single  railroad bed with three rails, one rail on one side, and two rails close to each other on the other side.

You can see the rails in the post picture above, and in several places in the clip.

Oh yeah...I’ve noticed this on the railway.

No idea why but it isn’t to run different gauge units over.
