Both India and Pakistan have Punjabi speakers and Hindi/Urdu speakers. Those people are related to each other but the Pakistanis are predominately Muslim.

Other ethnic groups of India like Northeast Indians and South Indians are less related to Pakistanis. Some people in Pakistan (2%) speak a Dravidian language which is spoken mainly in South India.
