What was it like to grow up during the 80´s and 90´s?

It was great, especially the fall of the Soviet empire.

Big hair, popped collars, pegged jeans, and being able to spend all day running around outside without having to worry about kidnapping or mass shootings.

I was an 80s kid (I think...born in 1979) and it's not possible to describe what it was like to grow up during those days.  I will say, though, that the 80s were the best years of my life, despite some mishaps and rough times I had.  Still better than my current years of living.
