Mine is a $200 telescope from Walmart. It works pretty good for the price.

Maybe it was the operator instead of the telescope then. Lol

Sometimes, the mirrors can get dirty, distorted or knocked of center and that will effect viewing.

Yeah, my dad has a big telescope out on the back deck and I've looked at the moon through it before--it's pretty cool

Yes, but it was a cheap telescope and I felt like I could see better without messing with it.

Sure did. Amazing sight. Have you tried Jupiter? Even with an ordinary pair of binoculars you can see some of the moons.

I could never shoot such a picture - lol.

My best moon pictures are not really a success - lol.
