A Venus Flytrap seems like a good idea, but I think mine would prefer a protein diet.

I Love Exotic Plants and the Venus Fly trap is Positively Alien in it's form

I don't have a plant as a pet but I did have those Venus fly trap plants years ago but I never had any success with them.

You need the special conditions found in subtropical wetlands (soil, temperature, air moisture, daylight, etc.) for the Venus fly trap.

It's not really a pet but I have a 34 year old house plant that I'm partial to.

Those are very cute pets. One of them followed me home from work one day, and I was allowed to keep it.

Mine is not vegan, btw.

Usually when I talk to plants, they don't dignify me with an answer.

This one does. It snaps at me for the most, but an answer still.

A lot og fun, but it lost it's "reflexes" after some time.

That is the problem, and it is not an easy plant for normal rooms, as they need a relatively high air moisture.

Lol - also plants need care and love, whether a venus fly trap, an orchid, cactus or any other plant. But it is not the same as with a cat, a dog, etc.
