That would depend on the zoo. Some are better than others. There are a couple of zoos in my state where the animals have lots of open space; Good for the animals (there are lots of breeding programs in place for endangered species0 and good for the visitors.
nah.....not that big on it. When I was going to boat building school up on the border of Canada, I frequently had lunch out at Quoddy Head where I could see things like whales, porpoise, and eagles etc. Much more entertaining to see them in the wild.
Yes, the good zoos have an essential role in preserving and saving rare and endangered species, informing visitors and students about wildlife and domestic animals, they do not only present their properties, beauty, importance, behaviour, qualities, habits, needs, etc., they provide additional knowledge and teach respect for life and nature.
Yes, especially when kids are along.
Yes, but I haven't been to one for a long time.

Very much so, especially when the kids are locked up, er, uhm; in school.
For the most part, yeah. The San Diego Zoo is pretty amazing.
Yeah once in a while I like it

The same applies to botanical gardens.
Love the Zoo
All Creatures fascinate me , from the Monkey flipping me off to the Wolves that are so Beautiful , just Love to hear them howl.
I like watching animals but it will be nice if they have a lot of land like how they be in the wild.
