Well still not really but here in Sweden it´s equal many times. I didn't know it was women's day today.

They are to me.

You need to look at the legal aspect of how women are treated in society and the lower wages they receive as well.  That is not equality.

Unfortunately not, in spite of a certain progress in some parts of our world.

Some news and statistics remind of persisting, abusive discriminations:

@ Marianne:
Hmm, that's strange. I have a list that puts the USA 8th, and Japan 87th!  :O

Well - there are lots of "rankings" and categories.

There are lists (best countries for women), depending on national, regional (rural, urban, remote, ...), legal, health, income and/or cultural and other priorities or views, where the USA might rank from 7th or 8th to 22nd or 23rd only.

@ Marianne:

Yes, the lists do vary a lot, although there is general agreement that the Scandinavian countries are excellent, and there is general agreement as to which countries are the worst, although it would be very Politically inCorrect for me to be more specific than that. :O

by

Lol - I know, I have myself the impression to have to walk too often on eggshells regarding "political (in)correctness", and it is known since long that the Scandinavian countries are in the lead. And yes, we know where it is worst - sharing the "Oh" with you :O ...
