Bye is a word I dislike mostly if it comes from someone I have feelings for. It just sounds more sad when I hear it so I prefer see you later, talk to you later or good night.
You will laugh; lately, I reminded sales people repeatedly to say rather "au revoir" or "auf Wiedersehen" than "adieu" - maybe that they have too many clients to deal with. But some remembered it with a big smile.
"tender"
Yes.

Certain gross, foul insults, which I'd rather not repeat (presently, they would be considered as a discrimination).
But for "normal" vocabularies, "farewell", or "bye" (without "see you" or "see you later") sounds sad, as if you were losing a friend.
That's why I have always much preferred the sentiments of "au revoir" or "auf Wiedersehen."

Lol, I can well imagine that the salespeople might NOT want to see certain of their clients again.

Yes, there are also rather bothersome clients - lol.
Ok, I've come across one
Anywhoo instead of anyhow
Stupid. Its so debilitating and damaging to the spirit when used as a weapon.
