Nope.  Shorthand was a bit before my time, although my handwriting tends to resemble shorthand most of the time.  Unless I write very slowly, even I can't read it.

I prefer to read a write in a language I that I can understand...

                    Even if it takes a little longer.

Yes. I always hated it but it's compulsory when im in high school in the late 60s
