What did your parents used to give you in weekly allowance/each month when you were a child?

I did not receive a weekly allowance.  My parents would buy me candy, treat me to the movies, and buy me toys from time to time.

Did not get allowance.  Why get paid to do something you should be doing anyways?  Children ar epart of the household and so they should act as part of it.
