Maybe spreading STDs and being involved in extra-marital affairs while usually being associated with drug dealers is not my idea of serving your country.  America could do without hookers.

Other than TV, I've never Seen a "hooker" at least I didn't know that was who they were if I did...

If they just legalized it like some places have, they would be paying taxes like everyone else does. In the state of Nevada where it is legal, those ladies and men are checked monthly for their health so no disease is ever spread. The places are clean and tidy also. Nevada makes money from the taxes so I guess you could say Thank you as you would to any other taxpayer. Anyone who says it can't be legalized is pretty naive.
