I have a fast Broadband modem and any other site is really quick. Is this the way the site just is ?
When I click on something on this site, it takes 1 or 2 seconds to appear, typically.
That's about average, compared to other websites I visit. (I don't have a super-fast modem.)

No, I don't think that this site is slower than most others, but I don't have a super-fast programme (system or software). Certain functions, like consulting big documents and "paging" and "scrolling", etc., seem to be very slow, too complicated or hardly controllable on all the sites I visited.
