If you were sent to prison, would you want mingling with other prisoners or solitary confinement?

It's probably better to be out in the general population with more freedom and social interaction. Solitary is a prison within a prison. You'll likely lose your mind after a while.

As scary as it would be to be with other prisoners, it would be far scarier to leave me with my own thoughts with no outside stimulation. We are social beings, without that eventually we'd go mad. Why do you think solitary confinement is called an inhumane punishment for long periods of time?

I'm more of a quiet person, so I would say solitary confinement.
