I live in California :The Golden State. It had a huge gold rush in 1849 that attracted people from all over the world to try their luck at finding their golden dreams. There are still many towns up and down the state that have preserved buildings and equipment from the gold mining days. It's great to visit them and see what once was.
Also you can't find a more beautiful city than San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Visiting San Francisco was an unforgettable experience. I would have appreciated to have more time for visiting, but we were preparing a congress for the following year ...
Hmmm.... interesting facts.... um... well... there are still enough Republicans and still enough capitalism to keep the state from going completely under, politically and financially.
