In this day and age I think Internet dating is a good way to go, unless you have the confidence to go up to a women and chat her up.....there are bars and clubs where you can meet people...

Night Clubs are not the Best place to meet someone in my Personal opinion but I always did 

I've met Dates on Buses , Trains , Supermarkets ,  Swimming and Fitness Centres , Casualty dept  lolz , Working , Fun Fairs and God knows where else  

lolz Dating was FUN

I'm probably not the one to ask.  Off the top of my head, I'd say pick a popular hobby.  If you're cerebral...maybe a book signing, or lecture.  If you're oriented to the outdoors.....rock climbing, photography, or hiking club maybe?  Whatever that is, I'd choose something where you'd have a mutual interest.

Try going out to a event that happens at least once a week that has people in it. See if there is anyone that you like and try to know them for a while before you ask them out, you don't want to stalk them or get accused of stalking them. 

I met a now ex-boyfriend through, a summer program for people with physical disabilities, called the Summer Fun Program and not right away but he evidently asked me out.
