If you are not a chessmaster by age 15 are you basically fooling yourself with ego polish?

I can polish a turd, but in the end, it is still a turd.  I can't say that, I buy in to the thought process that has us all believing that if someone doesn't "buy in" to some environment by a certain age that they are passe.

THAT whole argument, IMO, is based on commitment.  PERIOD.
