Some of those I did not know about Dan...

Sabian, Yazidi, Druze, Samaritan and Mandeanism. I do know about the others.

I don't think I have ever heard of Mandeanism, Sabian and Jainism.

Some of the others I know almost nothing about, so I will watch some of the videos.

It is interesting how the Samaritan faith have survived up until now. I have heard that they finally accept members to marry outside those last families, which may be crucial if they intend to continue to exist.

Many middle-eastern religions have this, in order to be in the community, they have to marry within the community. Such as Samaritan, Zoroastrian, Yazidi, Druze...

I guess Jews had it too...

Yeah, but when there is only four families left, it's time to invite outsiders to the gene pool.

With Jews: You are considered a Jew if your mother is one.

Most of them I haven't heard of or have no knowledge of them except for Taoism, Shinto and Confucianism.

I practice an offshoot of Shinto called Shinto-Bushido.

Rooster, I learned about Bushido from you. I have put a protective coating over a copy of this, and I keep it in my study. It is a warrior creed, but at some level in life we all need to be warriors, and with honor and integrity too. I like it very much.

Zoroastrianism was old Persian religion. Its founder was Zaratustra. Persian believed in Ahura Mazda.

Hell, I don't know much about any of those religions. Up here, we just have redneck and cowboy religion! :D

TheOtherTink

I heard of all of them except the Sabians, and I didn't know there were any Samaritans left.
